JD Junk Removal and Hauling was founded in April 2025 to serve the Okeechobee community with honest, straightforward junk removal and hauling services.
The business was created after years of seeing homeowners and families taken advantage of by contractors who rushed jobs or charged unfair prices. Our goal was to build a company that treats people with respect, explains the process clearly, and delivers exactly what was promised.
Whenever possible, usable items are donated to local organizations. Recyclable materials such as scrap metal, batteries, and cardboard are separated and recycled to reduce landfill waste.
JD Junk Removal and Hauling is owned and operated by JR Silvas and Debra Silvas.
JR is a retired Fire Rescue professional with more than 29 years of public service experience. He maintains an active Florida State Paramedic license and continues to serve part-time at the local hospital. His background in emergency services shapes how every job is approached with safety, organization, and calm attention to detail.
Debra brings more than 20 years of experience in credentialing and administrative work. She manages scheduling, customer communication, and coordination to ensure every project runs smoothly from the first call to final cleanup.
Together, they lead a small team that focuses on treating every customer with patience, fairness, and respect. Many of our projects involve sensitive situations such as estate cleanouts, downsizing, and property transitions. We take extra care to handle those moments thoughtfully.
